Having performed by invitation for President Mary McAleese, The Japanese Emperor, The infamous Shriver-Kennedys, at numerous All- Ireland Finals and American Football games during the last few years and with Neil Diamond and Jon Bon Jovi - Paul Byrom has to be one of Ireland's best-kept secrets
"VELVET" will be released nationally on Friday 7th October through O.M. Records.
At last the secret is out! You can witness for yourself why the above A-listers are so keen when you listen to "VELVET".
Recorded in August of this year with a 54-piece orchestra (an orchestra size more akin with movie score recordings than that of an album recording), "VELVET" demonstrates exactly why his peers are hailing Byrom as the best young Irish tenor of recent years.
"VELVET" demonstrates Byrom's vocal range explicitly in the Mario Lanza tracks featured such as "Without A Song" and "Be My Love", whilst also showing his ability to control, Paul makes the tender moments of such tracks as "Mona Lisa", "Let There Be Love" and "Love Letters" his own.
Still only 26 Paul Byrom has being singing professionally for the last 14 years, he has already enjoyed Irish & International success. Paul is well known to The National Concert Hall audiences having performed on many occasions with The National Concert Orchestra, together in Light Opera and Musicals at the venue.
All tracks featured on "VELVET" have been newly arranged by Dublin-based composer, arranger Joe Csibi. Joe has shared the company of such great film composers as Elmer Bernstein, Randy Adelman, The Merchant Ivory Film Company and Shaun Davey on films such as The Mask, Twelvth Knight, Remains of the Day and The Age Of Innocence. Joe has recorded, arranged and performed with Pavarotti, Sting, Kirov & Bolshoi tours, José Carreras, Luka Bloom and Sinéad O' Connor amongst others. Joining Joe on the album production credits is the renowned Brian Masterson (Van Morrison, Shania Twain
and Sinéad Connor amongst others).
America has Josh Groban, Italy - Andrea Bocelli and now honestly….not arrogantly we can say in truth that Ireland has Paul Byrom.
His voice is not the only thing being noticed about Mr. Byrom. The Dubliner's sense of style and smouldering good looks are already attracting the attention of a growing female following!
The 26-year old Dubliner, however, is taking this public outing and the speculation and comments by "those in the know" of International success beckoning in his stride. When asked for his personal thoughts on the album Paul had this to say, "I am very excited and proud of "VELVET". Everything I have worked on up until now has been done in working toward this album. I am humbled by the feedback received to date for the album but am embracing it all!" www.paulbyrom.ie
