Precious Lines is the spectacular debut album from A.M. O'Grady, the singer/songwriter who brought us the singles Love Is Coming Up and That's Life.
A.M is a fresh, new talent on the Irish music scene. A combination of original melodies and lyrics combine to make A.M.'s music a unique experience. Her live performances have brought her to stagesaround the country opening shows for many international performers including Christy Moore, Planxty,The Posies, Mundy, The Devlins, Kila, Juliet Turner, John Spillane, Frances Black, Mick Hanly, Luka Bloomand many more. Praised by Gareth O' Callaghan as the 'Voice of 2005', her spring single Love IsComing Up was awarded 'song of the week' on 2FM earlier this year.A.M. O'Grady has been writing songs for many years. Her love of the guitar and writing developedwhile she was in College in the USA, in the 90s. She continued playing the guitar and writing songsthroughout her college years while studying PE and sports science.
She was published with her first children's book with O'Brien Press in 1998, as AnnMarie O'Grady.She ventured forth with many children's projects with AIB, Diageo and Bank of Ireland. She spentevery penny earned on her books and project work on recording her debut album.
Her debut album, Precious Lines, which will be released on October 7th,was recorded in MargueriteStudios, Dublin and Soundhouse Recording Studio in the USA. It features a wide variety of home grownand international talent. Produced by Trevor Hutchinson (Waterboys, Lunasa) drawing on the creativetalents of Ken Stringfellow (REM), Wayne Sheehy (Damien Dempsey), Conor Brady (Gerry Fish),Vyvienne Long (Damien Rice) and many more.
A.M.'s material ranges from laid back, acoustic, soulful songs to an innovative mix of rock, pop and country. A.M.'s debut album provides a range of songs that will not disappoint. Her live performances are also a rare treat. A.M. will be performing at venues throughout the country over the coming months.
