The Garden Flower Shop at Powerscourt Town House on the vibrant South William Street in Dublin was set up by Mark Grehan. Mark is an award winning freelance landscape designer and has worked in creative floristry since 2003. The Garden at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre has a wide selection of plants in store for selection. Plants play a huge role in Mark’s design work and he loves working with them. Originating from Barna in Connemare, Co.Galway a huge element of the country landscape can be noticed in Mark’s planting work whilst the designs are still quiet modern.
In 2008 Mark won a silver quilt medal for his design ‘Inisoirr” in Bloom 2008. This background also comes to show in his floristry work using lots of foliage and twigs to create beautiful arrangements and hand ties with a modern twist. Mark has worked with some of the country’s top event and wedding planners creating amazing displays and beautiful wedding flowers over the last number of years.
The store is full of exciting things for the gardener keen or novice. Mark uses his country background from Connemare influences in his style and creations using gorgeous and beautiful foliage twigs and beautiful flowers to create amazing bouquets, wedding displays and hand ties, and there are loads of perfect little pickups for your garden from chic containers to easy to grow plants for balconies and container gardens.
