The star of the book, the Townhouse, on 59 South William Street, is home to the Wingfield family - Lord and Lady Powerscourt, their six children, Mrs Pudding, the cook, Mrs Chamberpot, the housekeeper, Rusty, the dog, and Bully, the horse.

Fast forward to the twenty first century, still on South William Street, the Townhouse is now home to the most exquisite designers and artists, and filled with restaurants, shops and galleries. The beautiful eighteenth century rooms are still there for you to visit, admire and enjoy just as Lord and Lady Powerscourt intended. Use your imagination and walk through the pages of the story.
